Provenance. The Gee Jacket is a Kantha jacket that utilises an ancient technique of textile recycling, here the off-cuts of previous collections are patched, quilted and embroidered in India in an embroidery house that utilises fair principles for it’s artisans.
Product description. Kantha is a traditional Southeast Asian embroidery technique, in which sections from old saris are quilted together to create blankets. This Kantha jacket was handmade with the same method, using offcuts from previous collection. It has a soft drop shoulder with oversized sleeves, a tie opening and tie waist to offer a synched silhouette, offset by a rich, romantic assortment of colours and textures and exposed topstitching.
